After a lengthy delay in Saukville, this extra winds through Cedarburg, WI. The small depot to the left is now the home for the MOW crew that patrols the Plymouth sub on weekdays. Note that their truck is still in WC paint.

Title:
CN 9543
Description:
There's no mistaking the location of this photo! Things were looking swell for the crew of this Saturday extra, and for my chase on this sunny afternoon... but all good things must end. About 100 feet south of this location, the train came to a screeching hault and alarm bells could be heard coming from the cab. It was only the beginning of a delay that took the better part of an hour and (unfortunately) blocked all traffic through downtown Saukville. Children on bicycles, police officers, and, yes, even a wedding party showed up to see what all of the fuss was. The crew scrambled to find the problem with the conductor bleeding air out of cars and the hogger opening up engine access doors. "Why can't we ever do what the hell we've got to do and get out of here?" came across the scanner from a very frustrated crew on what would ordinarily be their day off!
